Hello There!!!!!
Firstly can I say a big thanks to all of you who have recently joined the mailing list
- and, also for the lovely emails I've been getting recently, your all very patient with me, (I know there has been a distinct lack of beads recently)
Hopefully things should settle down soon as there is an update on the Off room......
Drum roll please.......
I'm getting a man in !
After weeks - no months .... of trying to pin hubby down long enough to do the job we have finally admitted defeat and will be getting 'a man in' to do the job.
It's a weird day in the Vammadopper Household, as this will be the first time I have ever employed (or seen) a person to do a job around the house - we come from a long line of engineers, carpentry enthusiasts and painters you see...
....but with new legislation etc we'd have to get an electrician in to certificate any work done anyway, that and with hubby on this 6 day week lark it's time get it done proper like .
So a very nice man called John is going to fit me new sockets (4) put up extractor and everything ( even knock a hole on the wall to vent out the extractor)
It's going to be dead posh!
SO NO MORE FREZZING IN THE WINTER - I'll even be able to hear the door bell go, and hubby will have a bigger shed for all he's tools!
Can't wait!
Back to the beads!!!...Right new beads are up - there's sets and focals!
And yep, there is definitely a 'theme' with the sets this time I was on a roll...
- though they are all different honest!
I've also been playing with some new designs - what you reckon to my 'Chunky Balls' ?
( yep I know Im a big kid - I get it from the boys who were laughing like drains earlier whilst playing 'putors and making pretend fart noises - least I hope they were pretending
They are done with Dichroic Frit - totally Fab stuff I think you'll be seeing a lot of this in the future
Ok moving on... also while I've got you here ( yes I do know know that weirdly some peeps actually do read what I put here!
)
What you think to 'Hollyhocks'?
I don't normally 'do' flowers - as well as being a bit too 'girly' in beads - loads of other fab people do flowers so well it makes your soul sing - just check out Judith Johnston and Laura Sparling
(Oh and then there are loads of other peeps who try to copy there's and just end up making your eyes bleed
)
and yes I would proberally fit in the later!
Cough .......However.....moving on!
I do love flowers and maybe cos I is getting older now, I find that occasionly I am tentatively dipping my toes in 'girly world'
The result is Holly hocks - one of my favourite flowers
Im thinking of doing a range in these possibly in Tiles - I like the idea of softness of the design in the hard structure of a square ....
What you all reckon?? answers on an email please
.........
Ok Im off now before I get all arty farty and start taking meself waaaayyyyyyyyy too seriously.
Thanks for reading
